So as we approach the end of 2010, we start to see the avalanche of predictions for what 2011 will hold. I’m a firm believe of the mantra that we overestimate the short term and underestimate the long term. So, the following is not what will happen next year but rather our top 5 predictions for the next 5 years. We call it the next 5 in 5. One of the most exciting is that we won’t need scientists to save the world – rather the idea of citizen via smartphones acting as a global platform for sensing everything from traffic to weather is completely disruptive. Nic Brisborne wrote about it previously here and we believe that all of this information can we used to build new businesses we cannot even dream of now. Other predictions include beaming up your friends in 3D – building on the development of virtual worlds and graphics. Anyway, that is a taster of just 2 of the 5. Enjoy the video.
