Few days to go til the opening of the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE).

Between Monday and Tuesday, our crew will be busy building the stand at the RDS. We look forward to seeing it come together and we will share some pictures through this blog and Twitter (@ibmirelandevent). In the meantime, our IBM Ireland website provides all the information you need to know about our BTYSTE stand, the IBM Smarter Planet agenda, our Education and Community programmes and even how to join IBM and develop your career with us. Check it all out on www.ibm.com/ie (or ibm.ie for short).

Last but not the least, our radio ad is now live and you can listen to it directly from here.

Let us know what you think by adding a comment to this post 🙂

I think it’s great that IBM are supporting this irish institution…as an ex science teacher, I now these events are hugely poplular with students, and show them science in action !

Great opportunity to showcase IBM the next generation.

4. Siobhan Power - January 11, 2010

I think its great that IBM is reaching out to the youngest crop of future innovators. I told my daugher and her friends to go along to the stand and find out about the ‘Smarter Planet’ from IBM. Love the radio add.

5. Andre Strassburg - January 11, 2010

Very good idea to go to the young inventors. These are the people who will create the planet of the future!

This is an excellent opportunity for the young to explore new horizons and learn engineering skills.

8. Joe Fitzpatrick - January 11, 2010

Given the chaos last week with traffic (mostly stopped), water (cutoff in many areas), education (schools closed, open, closed…) the potential for doing things “Smarter” is enormous!

9. Tom Rourke - January 11, 2010

With regard the add , its short, sweet and to the point. I like it.

Will learn a lot from this effort, people will get a better understanding of the concept of smarter planet and the practical usage of the available technologies around us for the betterment of our lives.

19. Roy - January 12, 2010

I like the radio add – just enough information to get your interest. Most people realise just how traffic doesn’t work after the chaos last week, so hopefully people will come along to learn more.
The BY Young Scientist competition is a wonderful event in my opinion and it’s nice to see IBM involved.

20. Roy - January 12, 2010

# 19 is from Roy Vance – I forgot to include my surname!

21. Michael Coyle - January 12, 2010

Best of luck to the volunteers on the IBM stand, hope to visit you when I go.
