It’s been a while since our first blog post and plans for our IBM stand are making progress. The mock-up of the stand has just arrived in IBM and it looks great.

It is a little smaller than we had expected, but it’s big enough to showcase a cool set of IBM technologies, including Open Source software. In particular we will be demonstrating the latest version of the Ubuntu desktop, as we are sure that students attending the exhibition will be interested to see how easy it is to install a cool looking “state of the art” operating system on their home computer for free.

You will have the opportunity to see Ubuntu in action by playing some computer games and yes, we will be handing out free copies of Ubuntu 🙂 Parents and/or teachers might also be interested in learning about some of the options for getting a fully supported configuration from IBM and our partners.

Keep following this blog for further updates and sneak previews.
